Charles Rennie Mackintosh
No. 78 Derngate, Northampton

No.78 Derngate Northampton is the only example of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's designed houses outside of his native Scotland and one of his final commissions between 1916-17 to remodel this small property for local businessman Wenman Joseph Bassett-Lowke - toymaker and arts patron.

Bridge End Joinery was commissioned by architects William Anelay Ltd to replace all exterior windows and doors replicating Mackingtosh's designs. The restoration was also part of a national television series highlighting the cultural importance and history of this property.
